We believe everyone has the right to experience play in his or her lives. We exist to provide free, quality, recreational programs for children and We commit ourselves to provided a very safe and healthy camp experience where no person’s disability is too great a challenge.

In the 1960’s a group of priests visited a program in New Hampshire by the same name. They were so moved by their experience that they returned home and started Camp Fatima of New Jersey. Camp Fatima was officially incorporated in 1971. While both programs are called Camp Fatima they are completely separate organizations and there is no connection or affiliation between the camp in New Hampshire and the camp in New Jersey Camp Fatima of New Jersey and has been in continuous operation since its inception. Fatima is a private, not for profit, non sectarian organization. Annually Camp Fatima offers two separate overnight camping weeks for children with disabilities ages 6 – 18. Fatima also offers four weekend for adults with disabilities. Fatima is funded by private donations and fundraising activities. Camp Fatima does not receive any government funding and no participant is ever charged a fee to attend. Fatima serves over 100 children and over 60 adults annually. Camp Fatima is run completely by volunteers from the Board, to the secretary, to the nurses and lifeguards, to the Directors, to the staff at the summer camp and weekend programs, everyone volunteers their time. Volunteers range in age from 16 to 60+. Each year over 300 volunteers give of their time and talents to create the magic of Fatima known as “Fatimagic”.
